Choosing the right database

At the library website you'll find databases and search engines that are especially useful if you're looking for scholarly articles, dissertations and books. Choose databases or search engines based on what you're looking for. Some databases are subject specific, whereas others are cross-disciplinary.

Below we have collected a number of useful databases and search engines, both subject specific and cross-disciplinary.

MLA International Bibliography
MLA International Bibliography contains articles, books and research on literature, language and linguistics from 1923 to the present.
Project MUSE
The articels in Project MUSE covers the fields of literature and criticism, history, the visual and performing arts, cultural studies, education, gender studies and many others. The fulltext coverage vary, but are often from year 2000 and onwards.
Libsearch
Libsearch is Malmö University Library's search engine, where you'll find journal articles, books, theses and more. Most of the library's databases are included in Libsearch.
JSTOR
JSTOR is a collection of scholarly journals and books in social sciences and humanities. JSTOR is unique in that complete archives of these journals have been digitised, starting with the very first issues, many of which were published as far back as the 19th century.
