How to make Endnote find full texts?
With this method, you can attach a PDF to an existing reference in your library. EndNote Desktop will search for the full-text PDFs within Malmö University Library's subscription databases and full texts that are freely available on the internet.
Make sure you have the right settings for this feature to work:
- In Endnote, go to Edit > Preferences > Find Full Text
- Tick the boxes, see picture below
- In the OpenURL Path field insert: https://resolver.mah.se/mah
- In the Authenticate with (URL) field insert: https://proxy.mau.se/login
How do I get the customized Vancouver style used at the Faculty of Odontology?
As a student at the Faculty of Odontology you are recommended to use a revised Vancouver style. This version is not the same as the one in Endnote.
- Download: Mau OD Vancouver (Endnote will automatically start)
- Choose File > Save As
- The style will appear in the Endnote tab in Word > Styles > Select another style > search the list
Can I transfer my library to a new computer?
Of course! You should download the program onto the new computer and then open a backup of your library following these steps:
- Make sure you have EndNote on the new computer.
- On the old computer: create a backup of your library following the instructions in the "Set up your library" tab.
- On the new computer: open your latest backup (Compressed Library) from your cloud service or email and save it onto the hard drive. Note that the two files comprising the library should be saved in the same location on the hard drive, preferably in a separate folder.
